Peter Salmon

A strong background in business and operational assurance, coupled with more than 30 years’ electrical and civil engineering industry experience gives Peter expert insight into the needs of clients.

Following a career in electrical and civil industry Peter originally established the business to provide operational assurance and compliance services and address the apparent need for a specialist consultant that could provide independent connection provider ICP with support for their respective organisations.

Electricity Transmission & Distribution

The area of electricity transmission and distribution from LV to 132kv understanding all aspects of design, construction, and network operation. Experience of the developments involving the growth of the Independent Connection Provider and Independent Distribution Network Operator

Rail

In order to participate in the area of rail and underground it is necessary to achieve the RiSQS accreditation. MA can demonstrate a thorough understanding of the requirements to achieve accreditation and maintenance of the standard there after. We have participated in many schemes within the rail sector and hold the appropriate competencies to access the track and carry out works.

District Heating

Meridian holds the CIBSE District Heating consultants certification and we have supported many complex route developments in city and urban areas.

Construction

Meridian provides support to construction organisations in the form of commercial, Occupational Health & Safety, environmental, quality management. We have acted on behalf of organisations involved in significant commercial developments in the London area. In addition to the site support we have provided pre-tender services working on bid documents and the post tender negotiations.
We have successfully achieved the Achilles Building Confidence for clients within the construction sector.

Our Clients

Supporting Skanska Construction by providing a full turnkey support from documentation development, two surveillance visits, management system reviews and also the key roles for construction and project management. Currently we provide the technical advisor, assessing officer and qualified supervisor roles for Skanska construction.

Guerin Energy Services Ltd. are a new organisation who are participating in the telecommunications and energy sectors. Meridian has been supporting GES Ltd. in establishing the Management Systems and also successfully achieving ISO Accreditation in 9001:2015, 14001: 2015, 45001:2018.

CG Power Solutions were assisted in achieving LRQA NERS accreditation up to 132 KV covering the scopes of Substation Installation, cable installation and Civil works. Merdian provided the services of Authorising Officer, Assessing Officer, and Qualified Supervisors. In addition the role of Technical Author for the development of Electrical and Civil specific activities was also provided. MA has been supporting CG Power Solutions in establishing the Management Systems and also successfully achieving ISO Accreditation in 9001:2015, 14001: 2015, 45001:2018.

Reliable Construction Ltd. based in the North West of England were supported with their Company ISO Standards in 9001:2015, 14001: 2015, 45001:2018. We assisted with the transition from OHSAS 18001 to ISO 45001:2018.

Clear Route Utility Services Limited are currently supported with their Company ISO Standards in 9001:2015, 14001: 2015, 45001:2018and also went through the process of holding LRQA NERS Accreditation in Civil, Cable and Substation works. We assisted with the transition from OHSAS 18001 to ISO 45001:2018.

Meridian have become an integral part of our Organisation's ICP operations, understanding and supporting our objectives.
